2013 was a great year. It was full of challenges and accomplishments. I'm so grateful for all of the amazing people that graced my year! I'm ready and eager to get this year going!
I'm surrounded by amazing people that inspire me to be the best me I can be and I hope although I'm not an eloqente or profound writer that through sharing the little things that I love and inspire me can also give you a glint of inspiration and a smile.  Cheers to a rad 2014!!

Late for work....

So this morning, I once again could not decide what to wear. I ended up with my light blue dress... I was exhausted from the morning of trying on and discarding my wardrobe. So I took a moment to rest my weary legs on my spiral staircase and take in the quite of the room before starting my day. To the 405 I go. Hi ho, hi ho.

So, last night I went to The Edison with some amazing people. It was intended to be a surprise but someone let the cat out of the bag. So, of course I had to do a bit of research on the place. First of all the website is crazy beautiful! You should definitely check it out.

There is a dress code (....taste is always subjective though) but WOW, the place is so impressive. The Edison was L.A.'s first ever power plant , built in 1910, come on people that's so cool. First of all you enter through the alley, it reminded me of a speakeasy. All around was a feast for our eyes, the bar has kept its architectural and mechanical artifacts, combining hardwood, polished concrete, massive exposed brick walls and all kinds of original machinery. There were vintage black and white silent films being projected onto various walls. Dark and cushy lounge areas and very sexy lighting, I guess that should have been a given. We drank great cocktails, I had a champagne pomegranate and we also ordered a bottle of absinthe for the table the flavor was cucumber! We ate delicious nibbles too. Charcuterie plate, white pizza w/ olive tapenade, the BEST calamari, fries and some excellent sliders and for desert...a plate of cookies and milk.

Over all a great night!

I am so excited.... tonight I am going to the Edison with my favorite people.

There is nothing I love more than going somewhere, eating great food and the best of all laughing with friends. I love being out and people watching. And now that the holiday's are here it is people watching season!

eggs benedict...Oh ya!

So there is this little cafe called Aroma. I love it.

It is a quintessential neighborhood spot. They have great coffee

and great food too. I recently went there for a little bite before

work, my friend and I split a prosciutto eggs benedict with spears of bright green

asparagus and a nice dollop of hollandaise sauce and

a cappuccino. What a great meal. At first we thought it

was not going to be enough to eat but it was perfect.

If you are ever in Studio City you have to stop by aroma and

enjoy the relaxed ambience. You don't have to have a friend, it

can be you and the paper or you and your dog or just you. Its great!

What should I wear today?

The weather is warm with a hint of fall.

I am heading to Warner Bros. costume dept.

to look for elf costumes and then downtown to

get some fabric. I started my day with a hike and

some breakfast with one of my favorite people and

now its time to get going. Some days I just hate my

closet!

What a great accessory! French women have been rocking the scarf for a while now. They are definitely not just for women. I think a scarf on a man is so sexy!

I love the way a simple addition of a piece of beautiful fabric around ones neck can

make an outfit. Attitude and full of yum!

This is a crown from a print a friend of mine has hanging over her fireplace. I love it so much but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Not that I want to copy her or anything but imitation is the biggest form of flattery, right?

So, I love these shoes, I think they are super pretty. It's such a great neutral. Gucci!

A pair of dark jeans with a little cuff and a big white tee shirt and these shoes, come on!

My favorite tee's right now are l'agencie. They are so soft and the perfect amount of length and fullness to the body, just do not dry them! I learned the hard way and now my 12 year old wears them too.

Doors, some are beautiful some are functional some are both.

Big, small, narrow, cheap expensive, heavy...no matter what kind of door it is the fact remains it is a threshold we all go through to take us someplace different. Doors in life figuratively and emotionally...what doors will you go through today? If the door is closed will you knock on it or find another door?
